Since our establishment over 10 years ago, Earth Investigation Laboratory (Earth Inv Lab) has grown in expertise to become the geotechnical engineering and laboratory service partner of choice. Earth Inv Lab offers efficient Laboratory and geotechnical services to the civil engineering and built environment sector. Our Laboratory is accredited by the South African Accreditation System (SANAS) T0745. Our Quality Management System comply to the requirements of ISO/IEC 17025:2017 standard. We provide quality control and quality assurance services that are consistent, accurate and valid. Earth Inv Lab commit to service excellence no matter the size or complexity of the project.

Where to find us

Our main Laboratory is located in Pretoria Gauteng Province, with a branch in Kroonstad Free State Province. We also operate several site laboratories across the country. All our laboratories are equipped with competent personnel and testing equipment that is up to date to enable us to produce reliable results for our clients. Our team of highly skilled technicians/ technologists and geologists ensure that both public and private sector infrastructure projects are delivered with the envisaged quality and long-term value to stakeholders

AREAS OF SPECIALITY

We specialise in the testing of construction materials for quality assurance and quality control purposes to our Clients. We have a team of Engineering Geologists with vast knowledge in the geotechnical investigations, profiling/logging, sampling and material classification for road centreline or foundation design.
